About the event
As part of the Silent Poetry exhibition, we invite young artists (ages 10-15) to a free interactive drawing class led by Aurora Paplekaj, a Toronto-based fine artist, educator, and architectural designer with expertise in fine arts, photography, and visual storytelling.
This intermediate-level workshop offers young Albanians a chance to connect with their heritage through artistic expression, fostering creativity and cultural appreciation. Participants will explore various drawing techniques using charcoal, pastels, and ink, while developing skills in observation, interpretation, and personal expression in art.
The theme of this session is "Kosovo and Its Independence", inspiring participants to create artwork that reflects the history, resilience, and cultural identity of Kosovo. Through their artistic journey, they will honor and celebrate Kosovo Independence Day with meaningful and expressive creations.
By the end of the session, each young artist will leave with a portfolio of their work, newfound confidence, and a deeper connection to their cultural roots. Don't miss this enriching opportunity!
