An evening with Ilir Ikonomi

The well-known publicist and researcher Ilir Ikonomi comes to Toronto at the invitation of ACDA, to present his latest study, pusblished as "Fan Noli - The Apostle". This study has been received with special interest by readers, not only because it brings to light new documents on the multidimensional figure of Fan Noli, but also for its unbiased description of his personality. This first volume describes a young Noli's life and efforts in the years 1906-1920, i.e. from his arrival to America to the second departure for his homeland in July 1920. Through digressions, the author shows many important moments of Noli's life, aiming is to make Noli's character as a courageous activist and dedicated to the Albanian national issue, easier to undertsand, of course without idolizing it, but maintaining an objective approach, often critical towards the hero himself.
